i got to do the coolest thing tonight - i helped stephen lead music at backyard bible club! i love jumping around and being dumb with the kids, and then watching them sing, full force, "How great is our GOD, sing with me!" there is a lot to learn from kids - they are so completely unapologetic in their love. i get to go back and do it again ( Read more... )

I have a million beginnings to a million stories but I have never finished a single one of them. My mind is full of prose and poetry, enough to fill pages. i think summer has officially arrived . . . today, i went down to get the mail, and something about the way the sun was shining and the wheat was blowing in the breeze, i don't know, it was just summer.

the downside of summer - i think i have worn a hole in my favorite flip flops. walking down the gravel driveway = ouch!
