PERSONALITY:
Artemis is just like any teenager. She goes to school, she hangs out with friends. Her extracurricular activity? Fighting crime. Totally normal, right? In fact, Artemis is part of a group of six teenage sidekicks, each with a different ability.
If there's one thing that's obvious about Artemis, it's her attitude. She definitely has one, and even from the first moment she's seen, it radiates from her. If not clear from the smirk on her face, her body language speaks it. She cockily places her hands on her hips, leaning just enough to give her that look of attitude. She knows she's good, and she won't deny it. Even if asked, she'll proudly boast of her abilities. Proud? You bet.
When she doesn't like someone, it's easy to tell, too. Wally irritated her from the moment they met, and for a while, all they did was argue. She bosses him around, fusses at him, and even calls him names at times, such as 'miss manners.' In conversation with Megan, she even refers to him being full of it. Wally definitely annoys her, especially when he flirts with Megan. After Wally spent half of episode seven lying about believing in magic, Artemis finally snapped, yelling at him about lying and screwing everything up because he was trying to impress Megan.
She's definitely serious when necessary. She fussed at Wally when he was joking around when they were in the middle of a mission, showing she likes to remain focused on the task at hand. She's also tough, and apparently not afraid to kill if necessary. After forgetting the past six months in episode nine, she tells Wally her dad probably wants her to kill him. The casual way she says this shows what she's not afraid to do, but it also shows what she was raised to do. Though not fully explained, it's apparent she's been through harsh training in wielding her bow.
Though tough in exterior, she's not all tough. She can be nice at times. She gets along well with Megan especially, but Zatanna too. She has rather girly conversations with both of them. She also gets frightened, actually crying out in fear when she woke up in an unknown place. She did recover quickly, going back and maintaining her image of unafraid. But the hesitation and fear came back when it came to Megan going into her mind and through her memories. She's unsettled by this because it means letting someone in. Fear struck her again in the face of dying, when Red Tornado's siblings were attacking the cave. She was literally driven to a fetal position, but she eventually overcame her fears and saved her friends.
She's not one to grow close to others, and she certainly doesn't want anyone to see her past. However, she has grown fond of the team, and she considers them like a family. Even so, she's still afraid of letting them in all the way. She has yet to admit to them of her family and past, for fear of what they'll think. Though hesitant with her new team, there is one she's close to - her mother. Though her mother was away in jail for six years, Artemis kept in contact with her the entire time. She wrote every week, and when Paula was finally released, Artemis was there waiting for her. She obviously cares deeply for the woman and would do anything she asked of her.
It's obvious she's had a rough upbringing. Her father is a villain by the name of Sportsmaster, her sister is the assassin Cheshire, and her mother was locked up for six years for crimes she committed. Though Artemis was raised in this kind of household, she never wanted a part of it. Her dad trained her and wanted her to be like them, but she resisted, sneaking out and fighting crime behind his back. Green Arrow and Batman were the ones that came to her about joining the Young Justice team, and it was her idea to hide her true identity from them. Seeing as the two heroes are covering for her and the fact that she wants to get out of that life style shows she is ready to change her life and can be trusted.
ABILITIES:
Artemis is very talented with a bow and arrow. She's very precise with her aim and rarely misses her mark. After her mother was arrested, her father took the time to train her hard in this art. As well as this, she also is a martial artist. She also has experience in both committing AND fighting crime. Firstly by being raised in a family of villains, and secondly by fighting against her destiny by becoming a part of the Young Justice team for a few months, on top of the times she snuck out and did so on her own.
POSSESSIONS:
She would have her bow, arrows, and sheath. She also has a small crossbow. As well as this, she's coming in her biker version of her superhero uniform.

The sun was setting, but Artemis didn't budge. She had found a spot on the roof of the dormitories, remaining there for who knows how long, lost in thought. At a stirring in one of the near by trees, she finally snapped out of her trance, her grip tightening on the bow resting in her lap. A moment later, a nasty, large looking rat jumped out. In a split second, she acted. She was on her feet, and a moment later, an arrow was in the now dead rat.
A soft grumble escaped her lips as she went to the rat, removing the arrow and kicking the corpse off the building. It wasn't getting to fight something that frustrated her; no, if anything, she kind of liked living on the edge. It was the homesickness she was frustrated over.
Yeah, this place sucked. Everyone was in constant danger. She knew that, but at the same time, that made this place interesting. It gave her something to do, and she liked that. It was a horrible thing to enjoy, but beating stuff up? That was her thing.
All the same, she did miss home. As much as she absolutely hated beyond all reasoning, she couldn't even say she didn't miss Wally. It was nice having Kaldur here. It was at least someone she knew and was friends with. But M'gann, Zatanna, and....ugh, Wally? She missed them. She missed M'gann's cooking, she missed Superboy and his grumpiness, and she even missed Robin and that stupid laugh of his when he disappeared on them. It was still hard for her to admit, but these people...they were her family. They were important to her, but she refused to let this place get best of her. She'd be home soon enough. She'd get these stupid tokens and be back to them in no time.
