Whats the hype? YAY we can get drunk and celebrate a large rock making 365.25 revolutions around a large firey object going through millions of chemical changes each passing moment! I don't get it. oh god, here he goes with the evolutionary crap.

you've never studied animal anatomy and genealogy, and you're not a scientist, so stop making conclusions about science based on your faith.

every well-based and confirmed scientific law was first a theory. there is a reason that the evolutionary theory exists, and it wasn't created by a bunch of atheists, either, but by people who were searching for the truth.
if you knew how to interpret the biological evidence man has found over the years, you would question your church's teachings, too.

but besides that...HAPPY BIRTHDAY! My new years was gay too, so don't feel alone. And no, i dont get the hype either.

all i'm gonna say is, read a book called Darwin On Trial, "written by a law professor at Berkley who logically and unbiasedly analyizes the theory of evolution" so says the New York times, and i have studied in Genetics and animal anatomy. I'm not making conclusions, there are two theories, Evolution and Creationism, i agree with the latter, thats all, so...get to know me before you start making assumptions and...coming to conclusions. LMAO. I like this girl. She just saw through the shit and knew you had a boring New Year's.

To answer your question.... People celebrate New Year's because beside the fact that its a good enough excuse to get drunk, it makrs the beginning of a new year, which for most people means another chance at having a good year and making better of themselves, IE New Year's Resolutions.

Or something like that.
