On teaching a class

I am sitting AT THIS VERY MOMENT in my class. My students are taking their first exam, and they look a little freaked out. There is frantic flipping through the text (it's open book) and head rubbing. I never realized how stressful it is to sit on the other side of this. Is the test too easy? Too hard? Fair? Are questions comprehensible? Oh
