We could talk some more
to make minutes out of
secondary moments,
make hours out of otherwise
designated increments,
Your schedules are tight, I know,
but time is everlasting
as long as you make it last
in every molecule of your memory,
as long as you forget
you're all dying so terribly quick,
for a moment.

And... yeah. I guess this poem is pretty abstract when I think about it, but I like the idea that time is more than a man-made construct- it's a construct that builds our own perceptions and experience in turn. Someone like me... who's practically wasted most of the time in his life... I have to believe in my own ability to change my perceptions of time, in order to make the most out of the time I have left. But I think most people take time's psychological fluidity for granted, until time becomes a problem in their life (i.e.. not enough, or too much). You don't know how fast or slow you can move, how much or little you can do... until you set your own pace. So... that's what it's about, kinda.
Love ya, Liz. Save that mix for me. I'm psyched to hear it. :)
