How could the weathermen possibly be right three times in a row about significant snow here in middle Virginia? The Chicken Little Capital of the World? Perhaps a few inches but nothing drastic - yeah, right. My Amtrak ticket was cancelled and reissued three times - Greyhound not on a schedule that worked for me - finally got a car ride partway ( Read more... )

If you'd escaped you'd just have to fight your way back in. If you'd come up this way you'd have had to deal with about twice as much snow as it looks like your area got. The snow piled up in my second parking space is so high you can't see someone standing on the other side of it.

And we're expecting another 10-20 inches in the next couple of days.

At least you've gotten properly introduced to Firefly. I hadn't even heard of it before the movie Serenity came out, and I had to go back and watch the TV show before the movie fully made sense.

But I did come up that way and stayed longer than I had originally planned. Yes, more snow to come - at least I did manage to see to the clinic today. And yes to Firefly - we need more of it - NOW.

Yes - it is his bowl. I just made a vat of veg chili and the veggies sucked up all the spices so there is no warmth to the dish at all - I was quite surprised but hesitant to put any more in as I did not want to blow off anyone's tastebuds.
