i vote #1! i lived on campus for a semester and it was so nice not having to drive. well, beyond nice it saved a lot of time and money and put me in a better state of mind.

$640? You can do better than that. That's freakin expensive.

$500 is reasonable...but then again, you're in the Pacific Northwest, I think you can still do better. However, it doesn't sound bad. What are the biking conditions like?

Remember that in the winter it's going to get shitty and walking or biking is going to majorly suck. You may want to focus on a more urban area.

I would say, go for the place with the CS kids if you really need a permanent residence now, otherwise keep on looking. I'm sure you can do better =)

for a one bedroom anywhere near UW that isn't a basement, $640 is what everyone that has one is paying. as far as the house goes, there are things for a little cheaper, but they are all with undergrads or really cramped or in shitty locations or all 3. you're right, i think something would probably come up, but i'm not sure. and this place seems good. and the urban parts of town aren't very accessible to UW, so they are useless. and i think it just got shitty.

i'd say either live with the grad students or hold out...i think you would get lonely and depressed in the very cold living by yourself. plus that's an extra 140 a month in just rent that you could save and come visit florida when you get too cold! if you don't have to move in now...hold out.
