It blows. These men would count their slaves as people- or at least, 60% of a person- when it suited them for taxation and representation purposes, but otherwise, it's like, nope!

It's pretty damn depressing. I read it all day yesterday and combined with the crazy religious guy I talked about before, it made me feel sad for society.
