So.. I'm gone. The journey with Sean has officially begun. We drove out of Pittsburgh Friday night, and have been in Johnstown ever since. We got a little Christmas shopping done (I got something for his mom, and a few little things for his sister), and found out that the local EBGames was getting Wiis on Saturday, so he woke up early and went to ( Read more... )

I'm glad, too :) How was your daughters birthday? I'm bad with the goodbyes as well. After partying it up with everyone Thursday night, when it came time to give out the hugs and say farewell.. I was bawling, seriously. I just sat outside of my apartment chain-smoking and crying like a drunken baffoon. I think it's one of the biggest reasons I didn't come in on my last two days of work. I didn't wanna go through more crying then I absolutely had to, yanno? I'm gonna miss you, Fernypants :(

I hope I get to see you when you get to Seattle. But I wanted to tell you one thing about the drive: don't let the weather make the decision, let all of the other factors make the decision. If you take the southwestern route, make sure you do it because you really want to see Albuquerque and so forth.

Interstates all must be maintained to a certain level, which is an outstanding level. In the northern states they clear and maintain the roads well and in any given place through the northern states the interstates don't close down that often and when they do they are not closed for very long.

I've also got to say that while coming into Seattle on I-5 is nice, the feeling when you're done heading west, when you come into Seattle off of I-90, it's an awesome feeling.
