I so need a Peeta icon right now

I just finished Catching Fire and... HOLY SHIT! How am I ever going to make it to August 24th? That is going to be a spendy day, for sure. Not only does Mockingjay come out that day, but so does LOST season 6 and the LOST Encyclopedia. LOST and Hunger Games are both officially FUCKING GREATEST SHIT EVER in my books ( Read more... )

I am honestly kind of glad I didn't get into the books until when I did because even just waiting six weeks for the last one seems excruciating. But it will be very exciting to anticipate it. I worried about Peeta, too. But Catching Fire only made me love him more. He is definitely treated fairly.

I remember one line about Haymitch's weight, but I guess I chose to ignore it since I can't get those two actors for him out of my head. Also, the guy who does the interviews every year at the games but never seems to age would have to be Dick Clark. I don't know enough about young actors to mentally cast Katniss and Peeta, but I have an image of them in head.

It was sooooooo good! Oh, you poor thing having to wait so long. I work in a bookstore so I have to look at the "coming next month" signs and such. I hope I get to be the one to unpack the boxes of it.

I love Peeta to bits. I am so worried about his fate in the last book. But I have to have faith in Katniss to fulfill her wish. In a way, her determination to save his does remind me of a certain godawful vampire manga. But she is nothing like Yuuki at all.

I can't say I feel certain about any final pairings, but I am hopeful that she will at least acknowledge that she feels more than friendship for him. All the holding each other as they slept to ward off nightmares. And the scene on the beach! It made me cry.

It kind of makes me sad, though, when I think about how, if Peeta were a girl, everyone would be crying "Mary Sue" because I really love him.

Oh god, evil working-for-the-Capital Peeta would devastate me worse than anything. I mean, I can see where such a theory might arise from: he just seems too good to be true. But I want him to really be as good as Katniss believes so badly. If he dies, if he doesn't get the girl he loves, I just want him to truly be the Peeta that I adore. *uses new Peeta icon*

I imagined a broad-shouldered grizzly older guy than those choices
