Duchess actually thought maybe it would do him some good, he was obviously overly arrogant and the rejection would knock him down a few pegs. Maybe then he'd act like a normal person. -- LOL! And this is why we all love the Duchess!

“Well she tends to wake u-,” Alice was cut off as Savy popped out arms swinging wildly, one connecting with Topper's cheekbone before he could scamper away from her wild arms. “Swinging,” the dark haired woman finished. “I did try to warn you.” -- Of course she wakes up swinging.

And Topper's got a big dark secret involving the bad guys. Lovely.

lol Duchess is odd. She wants to be friends, and let's not forget she encouraged Savy to shove Topper off the log while he was sleeping.....I like her lol.

Haha yeah, she has been in an orphanage since she was like ten or so. So yeah waking up swinging is probably the only way to survive.

Oh you love the suspense, don't lie! -- Yeah, this was the second time my use of "Lovely" was taken out of context. I do love the suspense; I love being frustrated by the characters, and care enough about them to want to strangle them with bare hands or start shouting suggestions at the computer screen.

This is my happy frustrated face.

lol I didn't think you disliked it, I was just reiterating with a wide grin how juicy goodness suspense is lol. The next chapter is up! And I'm nearly done Ch. 8.

I have started the next chapter, and it doesn't pick up right where this one leaves off. A little time elapses. But I'm glad you're enjoying it! And I'm glad you gave my story a go, and like it. Thanks a ton!
