You could do something with the clock. Have Fiyero looking at it and it pops something out to mock him. And then Elphaba finds him clambering on it and attacking the figures/face.

hum. I never did really get the clock. (I've read the book, but I haven't seen the musical.) What *was* the purpose of it exactaly anyways? XD

It was mostly supposed to be sort of prophetic I think. It personified the devil to Elphaba's father (drawing a blank on the name right now). But it did have that bit where the townsfolk were being ridiculed by it.

Maybe it could go through the ranks? Make fun of Elphaba for being green, Glinda for wearing so much pink, etc. And then they all start attacking it. Or something witty.

That's the best I can come up with at 3am, sorry. ^_^; Maybe if I sleep on it I could be more helpful.

How about something with the Nessa-Boq-Galinda triangle? You could have Nessa gloating to Galinda and Elphaba about how happy she is and how Boq is so thoughtful and does everything for her without being asked. Then you could have Fiyero and Boq talking and Fiyero could say something like "whoa...she actually makes you *insert disgusting/embarassing yet not too icky to scare of readers personal hygine issue here*" Something like...clipping toenails or doing the "here comes the choo-choo, open up the tunnel" thing when he feeds her. (I'm going for the armless Nessa here, lol). Wow, long comment...hope it helps!
