Green blow flies (Phaenicia sericata) are the most common. Military surgeons throughout the ages have always noticed that there was a lower mortality rate of soldiers whose wounds were infected with maggots than with similar wounds without; and presumably, the soldiers walking or laying in the field had no choice in maggot selection so I'm guessing that any fly might be ok.
