I'd lj-cut this but I can never seem to remember exactly how it goes and I'm too lazy tonight to dig it up from older posts. So feel free to skip as much of this as you like

I love you. And your random posts. And yes, on days when I feel like the social outcast, I do think about you and remember that I'm not the only one and that I'm clearly not socially inept.
On a pseudo-related note, I ran into Graham, Herzog, Don, and Tori at the homecoming football game on Saturday. We stood around talking for a little bit. It made me miss you like whoa.
I'm not going to lie I really miss Herzog and Don and Tori. I miss you most of all. Also it still gives me giggles to know that my ass is your icon.
And to tell you the truth, my sophomore year when You and I and the boys hung out all the time was prolly the time when I felt like the least of a freak for being the chick that I am, because the boys weren't really boys and we weren't typical chicks.
And you're very right, neither of us is socially inept and it makes me really happy that I am a reassurance for it, because you are for me as well. Also you give me hope that one day I can be an attractive girl AND a total geek at the same time. because let's face it, we're both geeks :-D.
Also to brighten up your day, I was helping my freshmen with proofs this last week. yay math skills!
That you can push it away and not let it ruin you makes you an awesome, awesome person. Besides, from what you said, it wasn't like the class were angels and you had a meltdown or something. It'll stick around and keep you honest, but from someone who does get affected by those things - it's just easier all around to be able to shove it off, take the lesson you need from it, and move on.
As for l33t-kid, he was probably floored anyone older than him knew what it was. On you being the odd person out, well, there's a lot of room out on the fringe, and I'm betting a lot of people around are more fringe than they let on. You're just not afraid of your fringe qualities. You'll find the people that are great to hang out with and be you around. And there are lots of interesting people who will appreciate that fringe in you. Hey, if I can find someone willing to accept me for what I am, you shouldn't have any problem with it at all.
