Thanks. I haven't exactly decided what I will study, so I'm just going to take whatever courses look interesting at first. It's been so long since I was in school at all, and things are so different today. Even the method of registering for courses is different. Once I get my act together then I can choose a major.

The beauty is you don't really Have to choose...do you? The point is not to get a job..so you can explore anything that sounds interesting without the pressure you might have had early on. Yay to that..and that you find many inspiring courses available to explore! So much to learn about on this planet while we are still here. I chose to be an artist so that I could study Everything that fascinates and not be tied into a narrow channel. lol. Currently reading microbiology, plants, memory, would love to know more about light, vision, soil, insects,....but might also love to take courses on digital archiving, mapping, perfume-making etc.etc! endless!

I've had this open in a tab since you posted it. I think I'm envious of your spirit and that you have the freedom to explore things of interest. Free tuition for Senior citizens is one of the many things Canada does right.

Congratulations on reading all those books and finding ways to enjoy your retirement.

Also, all the comments on this were interesting and well said. You have great taste in associates (I say immodestly :-).

Ooops. Sorry. I've been so busy I didn't have time to visit LiveJournal, so I missed this comment. Thanks. But are you sure there isn't a college or something like that nearby where you could attend? Why not try looking into that? Just an idea, because you said you were envious, not trying to pressure you in any way. :-)
