I just watched Eternal Sunshine again. While I think it's a fantastic film, I don't think it's the BEST film I've ever seen. But its presence and existence as a succesful film says something. It's like a small tremor before the earthquake, or the orchestra tuning up before a show ( Read more... )

In which David Thomson says many of the same things as I did.

In a pathetic and self-concious but "at least i'm being honest" kind of way I'm quite proud of myself, being a Thomson disciple, for having the same opinion as he, before having been swayed (directly at least) by his opinions.
