Of the original league, Batman was always the most distant member of the team. His status as a part-timer aside, he was one of the more serious members not inclined to engage in pleasantries with the rest of the team. Although not a soldier, Batman easily had earned John's respect for his focus, dedication, and sense of professionalism. Although John has a great deal of respect for the Man of Steel, John is all too aware of the fact that this is not the same Superman from back hone. Due to his experience with the Justice Lords, John isn't ready to simply trust this version of Clark right off. Diana is a fellow member of the League and one that has proven herself multiple times. She's sometimes proven to be a loose cannon on ocassions, at the same times both more restrained and more violent than Hawkgirl. Although they've worked together for the past three years, John and Diana have little more than a professional relationship and aren't known to socialize off the job. Amazon Princess

A pirate from the same world as Luffy and one that apparently has a vendetta against Luffy and his crew. He arrived at John's house expecting to find Luffy, but ended up attacking when John refused to provide information. Although a crude fighter, Blackbeard's gravity manipulation and resilience proved to be significant.

An eccentric woman (technically a man) of English origin, likely 18th or 19th century in original. She made some some flitatious passes at John which ultimately he ignored. After receiving information from Jay about threats from Grell, John has kept an eye out on this one as a person of interest.

One of two Remnants in Luceti. When their 'brother' was sent home, he and Yazoo both become extremely violent and murdered several of Luceti's inhabitants. When the Justice League intervened, Kadaj proved too difficult to detain and in the course of the battle, John was forced to deliver a killing blow to Kadaj.

An insane madman that is in many ways similar to Gotham's own clown fiend, the Joker. Kefka is a unique element that has attempted to pass himself off as an innocent victim of circumstances and misunderstandings. John is not inclined to believe him, although he did manage to hear the whole story from him. However, until Kefka makes a move, the League won't move against him. For now.

Luffy is the captain of the Strawhat crew and seemingly the most superpowered of the lot. John intervened in a battle between Luffy and Kefka, which may have proven to be a mistake. John's interference has earned the pirate's ire. Luffy is young and impulsive, but from what John has seen, possesses impressive abilities that would put some of the "stretchy guys" back home to shame. He seems to have a rivalry with a man known as Blackbeard.

An unusual lifeform possessing extremely powerful psychic abilities. His attitude towards humans could prove potentially dangerous should he be aggravated. Despite his apparent intelligence, he is a creature of instinct and responds to even the smallest of threats with aggression.
