I came across the word "inobvious", Googled it, and found it all over. But onelook.com finds it in precisely no dictionaries. omg word creation in progress!

I'm not sure I like "inobvious". It contradicts itself. What's wrong with "obscure" or "subtle" or "surprising"? It's the kind of word that people make up when they can't think of the existing one that means exactly what they mean. However, I daresay I'll be grateful for it on the scrabble board one day...

It's a relatively rare term, but one can't fault its construction. And it lacks the connotations of the alternatives you mentioned.
