I took the job.... but that means I can't go to Florida. The training is non-negotiable because it's across the whole department and involves my shadowing other people in the office, so..... Of course, I got a call on Friday from the City of Toronto telling they were going to offer me a job. So YAY! but of course we just booked our holiday.... :P I told the woman who called about our plans and she told me that she'd have to talk to her supervisor since the dates are going to land in the middle of the training I need to take to work for ( Read more... ) -

random acts of kindness
I deposited a cheque at a bank machine today. I somehow managed to leave a $20 bill in the machine. As I was pulling out of the bank parking lot a man came running toward me, waving. I thought he needed help so I stopped and rolled down my window. He handed me money, saying that he'd found it in the machine he was sure I'd been using. I didn't ( Read more... ) -

Tiana got her cast off on Friday! She was pretty excited and didn't even balk at having to wear a brace for 4 more weeks. The brace is just to make sure that she doesn't hurt her wrist before it's strong again ( Read more... ) -
