It looks like Matt is going to be living with us this summer, in Manassas, for a number of reasons. I'm excited about it, but want to make sure I leave time open for just the Manassas folks ( Read more... )

That's awesome about that GMU seminar! About the teachers, if they have a doctorate, call them Dr.____, if they don't or you don't know, call them Prof._____. Unless they tell you otherwise. GMU really does have some great professors, I hope you like it!

Angi is right. Some of the Prof. really are wonderful. Their hiring practices are way above their admissions standards. But in any type of summer program I am sure you will have a great time.
Yes, teachers with phd are very sensitive about being called Dr. They feel they earned it and anyone that doesn't show them that respect is usu. punished severely.

thanks for the advice. I was a little unclear though- the program is based in GMU, but it will be held at Bryn Mawr University near Philly and will have professors from a bevy of schools

Missing you as always! Summer seems so close...and I cannot wait to see you again. With the senior year lack of talking, and being so far away this year, I feel like it has been forever.
