E-gads you remind me of myself! I've been there, done those things--only sub Rosie the Riveter for Johnny Cash and Thanksgiving for Cajun--and let me tell you this: "struggle" enough for "that" existence, and the "camaraderie" will end! Don't wish poverty on yourself! Other than that, be patient. These freedoms come with time. May I suggest you seek to be a bartender as soon as it's legal for you to do so. That kind of income will afford you all the cupcake pans, beaded curtains, Edith Piaf cd's and shrimp gumbo you could ever hope for. Failing that, waiting tables can be good too.
Have faith, honey. As time goes by you will have more and more control, more and more ability to create whatever kind of world you want to live in.
Where have you gone?rochesteryinAugust 13 2008, 06:53:42 UTC
I love to reread this entry every so often. It's so beautiful and so familiar to me. I love how you know yourself so well and want these wonderful things... I think you and I would be wonderful roommates. But where have you gone to, little Shannon? It's been a long time since I've heard from you... I'm on Facebook now, so look me up if you have a page. I so hope you're well...
