LOL...outed self-loathing gay ex-NJ Governor McGreevey on the Today Show this morning, calling for "compassion" for Argentinophilic not-yet-ex-SC Governor Mark Sanford. Umm, no. Mr. Sanctity of Marriage should just kill himself if he has any honor at all, and that's not a suggestion I would ever make lightly. Pity his family if you must but ( Read more... )

That's par for the course. Particularly whenever it involves a sex scandal, Fox News always tries to claim that the biggest slimebags on their side were actually part of the opposition. Give it a few days, and Fox will probably try to claim that he's a Green.

I agree that he should be compelled to pay the money back, preferably with payment taken in square inches of hide if he doesn't have the money on hand. I'm sure at least one of the people in South Carolina that he's screwed over could use a new pair of boots, made out of fresh governor-hide ( ... )

What I'd like to see is for the Republicans to self-destruct, have the Democrats stay where they are ideologically ... and then have a new national party develop to the left of the Dems. Then our two-party system would finally have some philosophical balance to it.

It'll never happen, though ...

I would have to agree. While have no problem with open relationships, that's as long as everyone knows and agrees to it. "Cheating" is just effing wrong. I also am usually disgusted at the wife for putting up with it once she knows. I'm sorry, but if that basic trust in a relationship is destroyed, I don't see how the person can build a level of trust back up to acceptable levels. I'm sure someone will flame me for being unforgiving. You forgive someone for forgetting to take out the trash. You don't forgive them for violating vows you made to each other, deceiving you, and (gods forbid) maybe even bringing possible sexual diseases into the relationship. The health issues alone involved... I'd divorce the bastard and sue him for emotional damages. ESPECIALLY since it's so horribly public, talk about humiliating.

I was reminded that Sanford and others recently "outed" as creeps and hypocrites voted to impeach Clinton.

I think that the administration is moving forward. It took the GOP 40 years to get us here, so I won't bitch 5 months in to getting us out. Plus, there has been a lot of push back from many quarters, such as the financial industry, which is going to have to be damned to change.

It is wise to keep up a good head of righteous steam to go after whomever when he falters.
