What: you mean Forks still isn't milking the Twin Peaks tourists?

Naw, Paul, that was North Bend (site of the cafe) and the Snoqualmie Falls Lodge (a.k.a. The Great Northern)...Forks had nothin' to do with it. Forks is not sophisticated enough to be Twin Peaks. :b

PS -- My devout RC sister really liked the books. They weren't anti-church (like that horrible Philip Pullman), and they didn't have "consequences" because there wasn't any sex. After she finished explaining what she thought of them, I had a Rare Moment of Tact and Discretion in which I did NOT say "Huh. I just thought they were Mormonist anti-sex propaganda."

Heh...not that I love Pullman but I certainly liked His Dark Materials well enough. So nice to see the RCs and the Mormons pulling together in common cause. Should we be afraid yet??

As Charlaine Harris (she of the Stookie Stackhouse mysteries, now the salacious HBO True Blood) said, "Twilight is simply Romeo and Juliet" prettied up for 12 year old girls and girls who are still wanna-be 12 year olds. Although why one would use a vampire for Romeo is pretty much beyond me.
