you learn something new every day.

today i learned how to spell "appall."  all of my young, foolish life, i thought that it was spelled "appaul."  it is rather overwhelming when one who has often determined her self-worth based upon her fairly acute knowledge of the english language is foiled by such a basic, technical error.

orion never looked so small.

My three-year-old cousin, Ben, asks me this question every time I go to visit.  His sister, Olivia, just giggles and giggles..."Doesn't that siilly nut know that you're our COUSIN??"  I think that's marvelous.
