Ahhh, Grandview Boulevard Elementary, where I spent years K through half of 2.
For the first two years I was the tallest girl in my class.
I always wondered what happened to that ridiciously smart crippled Asian kid I used to beat the crap out of hang out with.
And  I almost played a Sugar Plum Fairy in a schoolwide production of the Nutcracker one

I know exactly what you mean, and I think that's why I still hold so much affection for my hometown of LA, despite the good reasons my family had to leave.
