dude at first driving was hecka hard for me too... but it gets better with practice. i think a lot of driving is kind of intuitive just you have to get that feel first :/ for staying in the right position in the lane, try to line up the lane line(?) to a specific place on your windshield, so when you're driving just make sure the line is within that little space; a little bit off is okay but try to keep it consistent as for turning and making sure you don't sideswipe cars (haha i almost did that too -_-()) if your'e in residential area and there's those dumb cars parked on the side of the road, its okay to give them a wider distance (and maybe move a little bit into the other lane) as long as there isn't another car in that lane (just make sure you move back after you pass the car) i hope that helps :x dude your teacher is funny haha. my teacher made me get on mission after 15 minutes and i was still only comfortable with driving at 5 mph xD
I try with the lanes and stuff...but the thing is, I can't multitask. So I'll be focusing on driving in the correct position and then I'll slow down too much.
Driving a real car is not like a videogame. That was the only context I had, and it took a bit for me to get used to it.
When I drive now with my mom, I think it's a testament to my skill that we can bicker about my driving while I still take on the road. I keep telling her, I'm not going to crash because of me, but her freaking out. I take fake swerves from time to time to try to shut her up.
I haven't even really played any videogames where I drive a car. Goodness gracious. The DMV should create a realistic driving video game so that everybody can practice safely instead of using an actual car. x___x
I know I could drive well if only I had free practice, but I obviously can't do that here...my teacher [who is an absolute bitch, btw] said that I'm not good enough to practice. AH!
Back in the day, Driver's Ed classes used to use these ghetto driving simulators, kinda bad videogame like. As you may have felt, physically driving a car is
Not good enough to practice?? What's that supposed to mean?
Heyyy, at least your driving teacher is actually teaching you (somewhat)! Pretty much the only reason I took driving lessons was so I could take the driving test... I mean, I didn't learn anything at all from my driving instructor. All I did was start out at my house and keep going straight (only turning one or two times when I had to get back to my house). He never taught me to turn, park, or anything, all I did was just stay in the same lane. It was really quite dumb
