Forgive my slowness~!lavida_locoApril 20 2011, 18:12:29 UTC
Lavi was, admittedly a very deep sleeper, even around Envy who he knew could kill him at the drop of a dime if he so wished it, but that didn’t stop him from being alert. Somehow, and he wasn’t quite sure how, the redheaded Bookman had a very keen sense of his surroundings-it didn’t matter how deeply he slept. When Envy moved from the bed, he knew it, when the atmosphere changed in the room, he knew that as well. He didn’t respond to it at first, content to just forget about it and drift into the dark abyss of his sleeping world where even dreams couldn’t bother him

All is forgiven, dear husbando~greenwithmeApril 21 2011, 00:17:56 UTC
The Homunculus gnawed on the end of his thumb and wore a look of deep concentration on his face. After a few more moments, he turned toward the bed, apparently resolved to his task, but before he could take more than a few steps, his eyes widened in shock. The bed was empty. Where could Lavi have gone? And, more importantly, how did that idiotic eyepatch brat manage to slip away without Envy's noticing?
Clearly, the Bookman was even more of a distraction that Envy gave him credit for...
Something caught Envy's eye; a subtle movement from the shadowy corner where he'd been brooding before. The Homunculus grinned broadly, arms held out to his sides in a welcoming gesture.
"Ah, you're up early!" Envy's tone was light and airy, belying the murderous thoughts he'd been entertaining only moments ago. "What's wrong? Did you have a bad dream, or something?"
“Yeah…I had the strangest kinda dream,” Lavi emerged from the shadows now that he’d been caught. He approached Envy who looked more welcoming and dropped a kiss on one corner of the Homunculus’s lips by his own way of greeting. Afterward he stood upright, secretive look in place, “I had a dream that some…exotic beauty was standing over me while I was sleeping…I was hoping that beauty’d go right ahead and molest me! Alas, they had this murderous aura that seemed to be rolling off of them in waves! It was so scary…I mean really, for a calm and collected guy like me…so there I was sitting on the edge of my seat…waiting for a death that was sure and certain to be mine…but nothing came!”
Lavi wiped his brow with the back of his hand, “what a relief…I knew I had to be thinking it, because I didn’t want to have to fight someone so beautiful…and on top of that I’m too young to die! Really! And it would be an idiot thing to do, just up and die, I’d never see that person again…so…and that’s how it was. Funny dream huh?”
The grin quickly withered from Envy's face. The Bookman had been awake the whole time, had he? Damn.
"Hah... Yeah, that is a funny dream!" Envy shrugged his shoulders and leaned against the window frame, arms folded over his chest. The grin was back in place. "They say that if you die in a dream, then you never wake up, did you know that? But as far as deaths go, dying in your sleep is preferable, don't you think? You just... close your eyes, and drift away. Painless. Peaceful."
The Homunculus stared at Lavi. The dawn's grey light began to spill through the window, and Envy's pale skin seemed to take on a deathly pallor.
"So, if you could choose your own death, what would it be, hm~?"
