We had the second power out of the season last night. It wasn't that bad, except that, being from winds and not rain I wasn't expecting it and thus hadn't dug out my little decorative lanterns yet. Everything else was where it was supposed to be, candles, flashlights, matches, 5 gallon water drums. But the big kerosene lantern needs a new chimney,

Having the power go out is always strange. I go around lighting candles, then come back to the laptop and realize that, although it's working on battery power, the router isn't. Oh well, there's always minesweeper.

I keep trying to turn on the light switch as I do things. As I head into the pantry to get the flashlight, I find my right hand automatically going to the switch.
