The Garden

I've gotten rather behind on it again, or at least so it feels. It rained so late this year, I got things off to a very slow start because I don't have a green house. What I do have started though, is:

Herbs- Fernleaf Dill, Long Island Mammoth Dill, Anise, Genovese Basil, Summer Savory, Broad Leaf Sage, Chives, Flat Leaf Italian Giant Parsley

I know it pales in comparison, but two of my tomato seeds sprouted!

I don't think of it that way! That's great you've got two! It might be my wacky weather (it's back to raining again) but sometimes my tomatoes don't germinate at the same time, so maybe you will get more?

I'm hoping I will get more. But even if it's just the two, that's a first for me.

I tried lemon cucumbers one year. I loved the taste, but the seeds were too pervasive. I couldn't get a bite without a mouthful of seeds.

This year will be:
- whatever tomato seeds sprout
- BEETZ
- cucumbers

That's about it for me. I have a very small vegetable garden, but two fabulous farmer stands nearby.

You might! Especially if you get a few hot days. If you like cherry tomatoes, you can always sprout some of those from store tomatoes. The larger ones won't always give you true to parent bushes, but with cherries or the cherub ones what you get is close enough and they germinate well. You can take the seeds out and dry them, or you can split them into quarters and then let those dry out and plant those. My mom does that, but then you get a bunch of them in one place you have to pull apart.

Do you want me to send you any seeds? Because I would if you wanted any.
