I'm going to be focussing on books geared towards what are called the "reluctant readers" or less pc - inclined to be illiterate. My goal is usually to try and undo the book hatred instilled in them at school, but having as many fun, and easily accessible books around as possible. So i will be looking for graphic novels, books on cd, scienc-y type novelty books such as What's inside animals, or the inner workings of a submarine. gross science like "the scoop on poop" or "snot science" etc. and books about urban aboriginal, and metis people. also aboriginal/metis books geared towards 5 y/o and younger. I mostly love all books so i will have lots of fun. the hardest part will be weeding old books out of the library to make room for the new ones.
