Every now and then, an image or an idea bring back recollections of times past or even actual childhood experiences. I just wanted to say that I know Jimmy Heair personally.He lives here in my hometown of Hamilton,Alabama.I'm also a freind of his daughter Hannah!I thought that you might wanna get in touch with him,and mabe catch up.His number is (205)-921-0281.I'll warn you though he's is a little strange.He's religous to the point of being a fanatic!In short he likes to tell people that they're gonna go to hell!Well hope you find this useful!

I went to high school with Jimmy in Ignacio. His family spent a lot of time with my mother Lupe Alexander in Ignacio. My name is Douglas Jacquez. I saw him a few years ago in Ignacio with his dad. Thanks for the phone number. I will try to call him.

Hey greg this is Michaela heair again! If you still wanna get intouch with dad we just moved to Houston, Mississippi. My ceel phone # is 12052135386 and you can call for him anytime. He has been having alot of his old friends get in touch with him lately. And tht comment from anonymous above that was saying that she was a friend of Hannahs and saying that dad is a lil strange. Umm let me tell u one thing... i dont want no one talking about my dad like that. You should know he had so many fights and its tough for him to even walk and talk. He is a very religious man but he does not tell people they are going to hell. He has had many friends thru his life that he lost track of and really wants to meet and catch up with again. He has been talking about moving back to colorado again lately but im just 14 and we have already moved once and he dont know for sure if he wants to move me again that soon. But he is really getting on well he has been going to therapy and being able to walk and talk better but he had a minor stroke because some ( ... )

I have been planning on getting in contact now that I've finished my MBA. Thanks for the number and tell him I will call soon. BTW I have your sister Hannah as a friend on Facebook and I was glad to find her out there. Oddly enough I haven't checked my profile here on Livejournal for a while, rather coincidental that you posted earlier today.

As I was looking up some information on Jimmy... I ran across this site... Thought i would drop in to see if nothing else... To see how Jimmy is doing.... My name is jeff shoffner... I worked with Jimmy about 25 years ago in a textile mill in Alabama... On our breaks he would share his old boxing stories with me which I enjoyed... He trained me very briefly... After I moved away in 93...to Indiana... I was trained by another man... For around 5 years... I have never forgot about Jimmy... And always thought about him through the years...

Hi, my name is Sal Lopez, a past opponent of Jimmy’s. Although we fought one another in the ring, I was always a fan of Jimmy Heair and when I came across this site, I right away thought of Jimmy. So, just trying to see how Jimmy is doing these days and to let him and his family know that he still has boxing fans out here!! Hopefully I hear back from Jimmy or someone close to him. Thank you.

Thanks for the comment!. I haven’t had a chance to reconnect with Jimmy directly (my fault entirely), his daughters have reached out and I see their posts from time to time on Facebook. I believe he is doing well living in Alabama and they may even see this comment! Good luck with and I hopefully your message will get to him.
