Maybe this sounds whiney, but I really would like more comments now and then.

I know it can be a pain reading long entries--I've been known to skip over them now and again myself--but I need some kind of encouragement for this journal. Otherwise I just think, "Why bother typing all that up?"

And that's my morning complaint.

All of us out here are not writers like you. If you want to be a writer, you have to have readers and that's what most of us are...readers of your writings. So...we read and wait for the next entry to read again. AND. ...you have to write more. If you wait 3 weeks in between, a lot of people that might have checked your journal every day for a few days and see nothing new, might not check it often anymore thinking you have abandoned it.
So..there's a comment for you. Now..you better comment to me the next time I send you an email with superbowl commercials! Ha! Now you know who I am!

Gee - I read your journal often, weekly, daily, by the minute. As your dad, I look for subtle hints of how much your trip is costing me. I also read of your adventures with thoughts of, yes, this could be published and sell well and I can retire early to live off my son's royalties. Mostly I read it because I love you and miss your impish grin. My advice re: your writing, incude more tales of those special and different moments you experience because you are 8,000 miles away from what we consider to be hum drum lives in the U.S. You have a knack for allowing me to imagine well what you thought, saw, tasted, or touched. I do enjoy that.

I just got done with my selection comittee interview, and coinicidentally decided to check my livejournal again. Sorry no comments dude, I like hearing about your exploits, because I'd like to have them myself. Anyway, I might be going to Otaru! I think I'm the only idiot who actually put that on thier list of choices. Cya man.
