FREUDE! JOY!

While my personal life may be in the proverbial toilet, I finally have achieved artistic success!

KCACTF has overturned its decision. My play The Hollow Men is going to festival!

I feel simultaneously flattered and frustrated. My ten minute play The Hollow Men was not selected for KCACTF Region one festival, but it almost was. Apparently it was in the top ten, but they only use the top five. Professor Cunningham said not to be discouraged, seeing as my play had to compete against student written pieces on the graduate level ( Read more... )

The graceful dance of floating smoke
Caught between the earth and air,
Measured and even, so baroque,
So beautiful, but hardly there.
You play your part upon the stage
And fade away without a care,
Escaping now this earthly cage,
Now passing from this empty age.
