Well there are cases where the friend meeting the other friends in question will then proceed to dump you once they've made it into a certain social circle. I've seen it happen, no names of course ;)

I don't really mind so much that my friends (and, uh, others) befriend (and, well, "other"!) each others (wow, that was nice writing there!), but sometimes it does gets annoying.

For example, a friend of mine had a wedding to which I wasn't invited, and I'm under the impression that my ex (whom I don't mind myself, but apparently wants nothing to do with me) is now dating his best friend. I totally understand that having a choice between his best friend and me, he wouldn't go with me, but it's kind of stupid that this choice had to be made at all...

Meh, what can you do?
