This one is so great. I laughed hard when I saw it. I think this is my favorite Apple campaign. Funny that Apple appeared in this series twice already. I guess they make ads that don't suck.

Not all that shocking but old school marketing departments still don't get social media. My take, the use of ad networks for online advertising has decreased the individual mind share a specific social network gets from a marketing department. This topic has been addressed before on my Journal. Here is an excellent article suggesting exactly the same thing. I believe that it's very possible in the long term that the anonymous nature of the Internet will be phased out. It's needs from organizations like the USAF that will drive this alternative in the beginning.

Karl Rove called it. His map looks exactly like the actual results from last nights election. I just love that the United States continues to be a place where the impossible is possible. I have never seen election results that drew crowds of people into the streets to celebrate. A truly historic moment.

WOW. Is this the end of corporate dominance in political campaign finance? Is it just a fluke? Is it another example of the Internet as a game changer, enabling people to not only speak up, but literally vote with their donations? According to this rumor the NY Times is looking to sell About.com the highly profitable website. I was surprised to learn that half of their cash flow is already from online media. Clinging to the printed paper seems suicidal at this point, but that is exactly what they have stated they will do.

Here we go, the old world media decline that everyone feared in 1999 is now fast becoming a reality. The 100 year old Christian Science Monitor has decided to Become a Weekly and focus primarily on the web. Which newspaper is next? Will they even be missed? My flight to LA and back to SF were both delayed for hours! Talk about bad luck. It's a miracle that I made it all. The conference was sparsely attended, but people in the audience said that the day before there was a good showing. It would be too easy to blame it on the economy.
