You might remember that I wrote about Otto zehm a couple times on here, but nothing has changed so I quess here goes again. A couple years ago while I was at work a few of the store's regulars came in and told be that something was going on at the store about 6 miles down the road. There were cops everywhere. That day I went home and watched the ( Read more... )

This whole thing still pisses me off to this day. It's like Chris said a few years ago - Spokane's police may be the city's finest, but let's take a whole bunch of shit from famous people - princesses, lawyers, presidents, scientists, Bill fucking Gates...and you know what, it's still shit. It might be the world's finest shit, but the bottom line is that it's still shit. That rings especially true for the police department.

I was walking to work one day right before the sheriff's elections were going to take place, and someone had made a small sign and stuck it up near the Seafirst building downtown. Otto Zehm for Sheriff.

I'll never forget that.

I know where you're coming from, and yes, the SPD made a mistake. I'm not denying that, nor am I saying there isn't some sort of corruption in the force at this time. But with all due respect, Shawn, don't paint the entire force with such a harsh brush. I've talked with many of them on a personal basis when I cleaned at both the County courthouse, and the Valley Sheriff's office, and they're generally decent people. I certainly wouldn't want to be in their shoes, having to make tough decisions that someone's going to ride their ass for, on either side.

What happened to Otto was unfortunate, but don't paint those who weren't involved or had no say in the matter with the same brush. >.<

Don't misunderstand me vick, I know the majority of the spokane police department are good guys doing a hard job( An inordinate amount of them collect comics after all, and come in every wednesday at the shop), But what pisses me off is that the city is in such high gear protecting the asses of a small group of assholes who are abusing the power they've been given only to avoid a lawsuit. You know I'm the most law abiding person their is. I just think that if your going to accept the responsibility than you should wield the power given with respect, and treat the populace so that they do as well. I don't blame the entire police force more those responsible, and the city for the cover up.
