MSPCA-Angell has a lovely adoption center. I've heard that getting a bonded pair is best if you want more than one cat, but saving that, you'll probably want to avoid having two males. Sometimes I wish I'd gotten two cats, but since Margot is the million-dollar kitty with vet bills, I'm glad I didn't. Besides, I like having one little guy who is the star of my show.

I was actually planning to get two males because growing up I've found that the males have personalities more similar to mine. That sounds weird. The expense of owning two cats at once does make me a little wary. But of course if I go to the shelter and they have a pair that I fall in love with, they'll both be my new roommates!

Sounds like a great idea to me! Our screenwriting professor is urging us to be more disciplined, and that's something I definitely, DEFINITELY could use. I also want to learn drums. Maybe I should follow a similar regiment. Let's stick together!
