Can any of you recommend a specific exercise DVD (or even a series) that's fairly easy to keep up with but also a decent workout? I'm having issues with anxiety keeping me from working out in front of other people right now, and I need a backup plan.

Thanks for any and all suggestions!!

I like this lady's DVDs. They're simple, and you get a pretty good workout, surprisingly. She's got a ton of them on netflix (that's where I get mine). :o)

I don't know about exercise DVD's, but my new life hack is to keep this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E62H4W) little step machine under my desk at work, so I can be working out while I'm also getting work done. It's nice because you can just stop and start throughout the day, as you like. And it's actually a pretty decent workout, too. Evidently the one I ordered, which was about thirty dollars, is no longer in stock, but they have something similar for fifty. Cheaper than a gym membership, at least :-).

i second leslie sansome/ walk away the pounds! she's kind of relentlessly cheerful, but the workouts are good & fun.

do you have on demand on your cable? if so, check out the health & fitness section. there's usually a leslie sansome workout or two, so you can give it a try without paying for a dvd. and there's other fun stuff too, if you look around a little. i like the "gaia" workouts.

I like playing around with what's available on On Demand, not that I work out very much in reality, but in my mind I do. I like the Pilates ones with Nicole Stewart, which I think are intended for old people and are fairly easy to follow. I also have a fitness ball and this DVD, which is easy to follow but hard to actually make it all the way through the workout (I tend to stop and start). Plus the balls are fun to bounce on. I'm not sure how they hold up to kitten claws, though...
