I saw a live Gallagher show a little while ago (front row, and with the stains to prove it). Yes, that Gallagher - the guy who smashed all the watermelons in the 80s. To be honest, I mostly went for Suzanne, since she's such a fan of his - I was expecting a tired old comedian doing tired old comedy for a lagging crowd of aging fans

actually, more a comment about the music.

I was listening to The Birthday Massacre the other day and was left with this thought...

"If they had a songwriter, they would rule."

but as it stands, the lyrics are verging on sophmoric (though I till like the sound of the band.)

I'm with you on the first album, Nothing and Nowhere. The lyrical quality definitely stepped up on Violet, though, and if you haven't heard it I'd recommend checking it out. Ironically, I like the sound of Nothing and Nowhere a little better, but they're both solid albums.

It's really not all that, and wouldn't make a lot of sense out of context anyway (which is what would lead to the potentially "Ew!" reading).
