I'm graduating from nursing school in three weeks. I'll be an RN once I take the exam, scary! I cannot wait to get into practice :) right now I'm an licensed nurses aid. I hope to become a Certified Nurse Midwife with my masters in about 5 years from now.

I went to UNH and got my Bachelors in 2002, worked for about 7 years in residential group homes for teens and doing various substance about education programs, then I decided I needed a change and had been thinking about becoming a nurse for years (it was always a part of the job a loved in residential) so I went back to school. Community college this time :) Took several sciences over because I had taken them too long ago to count and several other pre-recs and applied hoping to get in. I'm lucky I made it in... such a small program, but it's like my family now and I'm glad I did it.

You can do anything you put your mind to, go back to school if you wish and further your career :) and enjoy it along the way!

This is awesome, I re-posted this in my journal! Saw from the nursing community that you passed your exam and I want to say congratulations! I'm so envious, I can't wait till I get to where you are now!

thanks :) if you keep up with your reading and practice NCLEX questions every week until you take the exam you should be fine! it seems hard now but looking back it all fits together. good luck, you can do it :)
