I can't believe it's been almost a week and no one's talked about their OWL results at all on the journal network! Seriously! I mean, of course, Marly and I have discussed it with her here and all, but I would have thought I'd have seen some on the journal network! Have you all failed so badly you don't want anyone to know?! Hee!

Anyway, I got two ( Read more... )

Congratulations on your O's, Greta. Let me just put forth the hypothesis that perhaps people aren't sharing as you'd like them to because scores can actually be a pretty private thing. It's like telling who you've voted for: some people are comfortable with it, and some people feel that's their private business. Am I making sense?

In any case... yes, I am planning on taking History of Magic to NEWT level.

I can see what you're saying! I figured if people were proud they'd want to share but maybe not! You can't fault me for being curious, though!

Seriously?! I didn't think anyone would!

Yeah... I hope I'm not the only one there.

Well...you'd learn extremely well with such a small class size, wouldn't you?! But Maybe there will be a couple others!

I think what Remus is trying to say is that if I could manage nine OWLS and three O's, and James ten OWLs and no O's, with no failures between us, a bloke like remus probably managed four, if not five. And a bloke like Remus, being the bashful sort that he is, wouldn't want the whole world to know how excessively brilliant he actually was. But you see, I have no such restraint.

>I am surprised I did so poorly in Herbology, though. Bloody plants.

You're actually planning to continue that class? You realise we have enough free periods for you to get some sleep in without resorting to History of Magic.

What was said in the Quibbler?

Fair enough!

I'm not keeping History of Magic, no way! I was just curious to see if anyone actually was going to take it to NEWT level!

Apparently Snape is building a time machine to make it so you and James were never born!

Don't lie, I know you'll miss me in Herbology. You won't have anyone to make you feel superior!

And I'm going to miss you terribly in Ancient Runes! I don't think I'm going to have anyone with me in that class!

All right, I will! It just won't be the same! And what if I'm the only person in Astronomy?!

At least you know a bunch of people will probably be continuing in DADA!

You won't be the only person in Astronomy, that's much more interesting than History of Magic or Herbology, and people are still continuing with those classes!

Yes, that's lucky! Lily will definitely keep that class, so I know I can keep working with her, at least.

I hope so! I know I won't be alone in Herbology because you have to have a NEWT in that if you want to be a Healer, but I'm a little worried that I'll be all alone in Astronomy!

Exactly!
