That's outrageous!

1.) I was reading car seat reviews on Target.com (we're picking up another one for our sitter's car). Feedback for one seat was positive overall, but a number of reviewers pointed out that they had trouble with the straps, especially in the rear-facing position and especially for chubbier infants (i.e. 4 months, 19 lbs., 6 months, 21 lbs., etc). This was all good info for me, and I noted it duly. Then I stumbled upon this gem:

"The only people complaining about this item are the ones with extremely chubby babies! My son is 4 and we're still using this seat and it has been excellent. Maybe if you have a 20 lb 6 month old your problem isn't the car seat. "

Zowie. She really told 'em, huh? How miserable is your life that you have to resort to calling out parents of *gasp* chubby babies ONLINE?

2.) Greta's sitter went in for her 19-week ultrasound on Friday and was so so so excited to find out if she's having a boy or a girl. When they got to the hospital, the u/s tech said that she was unable to divulge the gender because some asshat SUED THE HOSPITAL for an incorrect diagnosis.

God help us.
