Fall, Friday -- Fab!

Yeay, the weekend approaches. Many things to look forward to ... the first being Girls Night at Chris' place this evening. I whipped up some artichoke dip last night (my first batch ever!) and look forward to snarfing it down with friends later tonight.

Another first: I'm taking Greta shoe shopping tomorrow! Now that she's walking like a champ, it's time to get her fitted for some Stride Rites. It's silly how much I'm looking forward to this. But shoe lust is in my blood and now that I can buy for me AND my girl? I'm in trouble. Somebody call me out if I start posting mules with 3" heels in size 4, 'kay?

Dave and I are doing a movie Saturday night. Not sure what just yet, although I would love to see the new Wallace & Grommit. I'm dying to see Capote with my boy Phillip Seymour Hoffman, but it hasn't gotten to Milwaukee yet. Any suggestions?

Sunday is Pancake Breakfast at Casa di Wendy. Every few months we have friends over for copious amounts of buttermilk flapjacks, coffee, mimosas. Yum. Should be a nice way to round out the weekend.

Cashed in my Gybucks yesterday. I went on the first morning they were redeemable and the place was sa-wamped. Moms gone beserk and all that. But for $78 I got a dress, three pair of pants, two shirts, a jacket, socks and these:

They're wings. Adorable, girly, fairy wings. I don't think she'll dig them right now, but I know they'll be great for playtime when she's a little older. In the meantime, maybe Dave and I can use them to do a little role playing?

Forgive me. It's Friday, it's Fall-like and I'm feeling a little frisky.
