shi-tee day today

this morning was alright but it was all down hill after lunch. i guess it really started last night when i rolled over in my sleep and drove my head into the wall. definitely a painful way to wake up. but anyhow - everyone and their fucking cousin was at lunch today and i was feeling really hostile so i definitely wasn't as pleasant as i usually ( Read more... )

I vistied kenyon today! i liked the campus and stuff for the most part... but some parts i didn't. there seems to be a lack of diversity on campus. i don't know if i would fit in there.. also, the dining hall kind of sucks.. but i loved the dorms and the profs... i have to come stay an overnight there i think. also, are you and marc together? that would fun. well this is a looong post so.. bye!

yay you visited! glad to hear that you liked the campus/dorms etc. for the most part. which dinning hall did you go to? gund (north end) blows but peirce is cool. i guess the servery in peirce sucks b/c it's so small but i enjoy the stained glass windows. diversity here is a really strange thing. it's diverse but all the people who ar accepted to keep kenyon "diverse" end up being pretty much the same as everyone else. but i would recommend that you come and stay overnight with someone. that usually makes a lot of difference when it comes down to final decisions (at least i thought so). but i guess it's most important that you go where you feel comfortable!
oh (this is long - i'm almost done) marc and i are together. 9 months, woo hoo! he's the greatest and a lot of fun ;)

It is encouraging that you and marc seem to like kenyon so much. Some boy showed me his dormroom and it looked really nice. But he had a double that he was using as a single or something like that.. but it still seemed cool. 9 months? wow.. that's really cute though!

it was quite large, and the ceilings were nice and high. the boy said he was in a frat too. i don't know why he lived in a dorm then..isn't marc in one? are you in a sorority?

chances are if the guy was in a fraternity and his room was in hanna then he was either a Phi Kappa (Phi Kappa Sigma) or a D Phi (Delta Phi). the fraternities at kenyon aren't allowed to have houses like at bigger schools so they get blocks of rooms (usually the best and biggest) in the better dorms. a couple of frats have houses and stuff off campus that they use for meetings/parties but can't live in. it's kind of strange i guess. marc is in a fraternity - he's actually a Phi Kapp (he lives in their house off campus) so you most likely saw a room in phi kapp division when you went to hanna. sororities just got started here last year. there's a really long process to get a sorority est. on a campus and since kenyon had been all guys from 1824-1970 sororities weren't really big. they still aren't since they kind of just got started a year ago. and no i'm not a member. the gir;s who started the 2 national sororities here are kind of stupid. but i also play a sport - so the team kind of becomes a pseudo sorority (but w/o all ( ... )
