According to my experience, you're both (neither) right and (nor) wrong.

Me, I like proportional breasts. Other characteristics take precedence over size. Actually, just now while writing this, I've come up with a description of them. I will henceforth refer to those 'mammary criterion' as the 4 Ps: Proportion, Plasticity (firmness), Perkiness, and Peak (nipple). It's a bit of an oversimplification, but it generalizes what makes breasts aesthetically pleasing to me. There are plenty of guys who have preferences in this general vein.

There are others, however, who generally prefer size over other considerations. My experience with my 'brethren' says that plenty of guys are in this camp, as well.

I'm sure there are also other variations as well, though the prior two groups, in my experience, tend to dominate the male species as a whole.
