I've read two or three of the first books. However, I usually don't go past about 10 in any series because the books tend to be less well written and barely edited. It's disappointing when an author seems to decline in their care for editing and their story lines. I'm sure it's just me! Cheers!

I tend to like series. When a new book comes out in a fave series, it's like visiting an old friend or universe. But it's not just you in that some writers aren't good at maintaining the quality of a series because they run out of ideas. Or worse, because the earlier books were successful, they're pushing to put out books too fast and then the quality of the editing suffers.

There are several books in this series that are excellent and some that aren't that great, just average. But I do like the characters and so I tend to keep coming back to see how they've progressed over time since the first few.
