Due to recent events, I've decided to make my LJ friends only. Lots of people have been telling me that I should've done this a long time ago, so hey, better late than never. But there are a couple of things I'd like to say

Do you have IP Logging on? This goes for anyone and everyone that reads this. Turn IP Logging on right now. I could guesstimate and say 90% of the comments like the one Joe recieved are from people that regularly comment or read the journal.
Q: What will IP Logging do?
A: Well think of your IP Address as your internet fingerprint. Whether your on dialup,cable,dsl, anything. You have an IP number. When you have IP Logging turned on anyone that's made a comment from that point on. Has there IP Number posted alongside the comment. So when you recieve a string of slurs like that, you just match up the IP Numbers and Bingo. You can't imagine peoples faces when you put them on blast with great evidence.

And make sure "IP Address Log" is set to "everyone"
