For those wanting to know more about the recent DDoS attacks, yes, it looks like it was the Russian government trying to shut down the dissidents again.

If they'd just sell back to the Americans, things could get back to track. LJ had its issues like ANY site out there, but the day they handed it over to the Russians, ohhh..my...Gaaawd. Things went to total and utter crap.

LJ is a pain in the ass and it's only doing itself and it's users and paid users a great disservice. I'll stay with it cause I've been with it too long. That and it allows alot of things that the others don't. So for now, it has some more 'freedoms' than the other sites.

Heh yea that's the 2nd time I've been given 2 weeks. I've got a whole month free so far due to all the down time. Silly Russians.
