Those of us who get NASA Select live in the future, anyhow.

How long are you going to harbor this sentiment? Pretty soon, the Shuttle will be a thing of the past.

I suppose you think Mach 2 airliners are futuristic, too.

Nope, just expensive. Sub-orbital airliners, however...

I'd say college undergrads building flying robots is futuristic, but that's what I'm doing in my spare (!) time, so I probably shouldn't. I think what trips that meme for me is when I'm doing something or using something I once read about in Analog.
