Tron!

Went to see the Tron movie today. I liked it a hell of a lot, way more than I was expecting. Daft Punk was a brilliant choice to do the soundtrack, and the look of the film was as shiny and robotic as I could've asked for. surprisingly after this comment I might even agree with you - for a spectacle it was good. I liked too much the whole world-and-storyline, so it was a little too simple. Though things would be borrowed aplenty, like disc which is the first and the last weapon, as well as your memory - that's a great idea.

Yeah, the discs were really cool. For such a simple movie, there's a lot that's said-but-not-said -- for instance, when CLU had the chance to kill his creator at the end, but buried the disc in the floor instead. I like the various ways they showed that the discs were important throughout, rather than just saying so.
